What do you need help with?

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose what you need

Pick one of the three and say who the patient is. It takes a minute.

  2. 2

    Send your reports on WhatsApp

WhatsApp opens by itself. Send photos of the reports and say what the problem is. A voice message is fine; you don’t have to type.

  3. 3

    Get the reply

The time counts from when your reports arrive. A message tells you the exact time to expect the reply.

  4. 4

    Ask follow-up questions

For 3 days after the reply, you can ask about anything that is unclear, on the same chat.

What to send

A clear photo saves a day. Lay the paper flat near a window, hold the phone straight above it, and keep all four corners in the picture.

ECG reading
  • The whole ECG page, not a part of it
  • The patient’s age and what they were feeling when it was taken
  • An older ECG, if you have one
Prescription doubts
  • Every prescription the patient is following now
  • A photo of the tablet strips
  • Recent BP and sugar readings
  • The discharge summary, if there was a hospital stay
Second opinion
  • The angiogram report and the angiogram video (CD)
  • Echo report, ECG and blood tests
  • The discharge summary
  • What the hospital advised, and by when
The angiogram CD will not open?

Ask the hospital’s cath lab to copy the video to a pen drive or send it by WhatsApp. If that is not possible, play it on a computer and record the screen with your phone. Ask on WhatsApp and the doctor will guide you.

What the reply looks like

An example, not a real patient. You get a voice message the whole family can listen to, and a short note you can show your own doctor.

  1. 10:14 pm

  2. Doctor, this is from my company health check. My father had a heart attack at 54. Should I worry?

    10:15 pm

  3. What I see
Heart rate 104, regular rhythm. The “nonspecific ST-T changes” printed by the machine are small and often appear when the heart is beating fast.
    What I think
This ECG does not show a heart attack. An ECG alone cannot rule out blockages, which is why I advise the tests below.
    What to do
Repeat the ECG after resting for 10 minutes. Because of your father’s history, get a lipid profile and a treadmill test within a month. This is not urgent. If you get chest discomfort or breathlessness while walking, see a cardiologist this week.

Questions people ask

Who replies, the doctor or an assistant?

Dr. Allu Harshavardhini replies herself. The voice message is in her voice, and the note carries her name.

I am asking for my father or mother. Whose number do I give?

Yours, if you are the one who will talk to the doctor. The reply goes to that number only.

What if my photo is not clear?

The doctor will ask for a better one. The time counts from when the clear photo arrives.

Will the doctor change my medicines?

The note says what she would change and why, so you can show it to the doctor who is treating you.

Who can see my reports?

Only the doctor reads them. They are stored privately, never used for advertising, and never shared with any hospital. Photos can be deleted if you ask; the note of the advice is kept as the law requires.
